A pre-measured detergent tablet is one part of a thoughtful dishwashing routine. Loading carefully, keeping the spray arms clear, and caring for your machine help you get the most from each wash.

• Set the table again: Everyday plates and favorite mugs belong in the next meal. Load dishwasher-safe items with room for water to reach them.
• Give the spray arms space: Before starting, check that tall utensils and pans don’t block the arms. One small check makes the routine more considered.
• Keep the corner tidy: Store unused tablets closed and dry, away from children. Keep them separate from machine cleaner so each product has its own job.
• Finish with a little patience: Let the full cycle finish and allow hot dishes to cool before unloading. Then put everything away for the next gathering.
